EL NIDO RESORTS

|
El
Nido is
located at the northwestern tip of the province of Palawan. It is about 430 kilometers
southwest of Manila, and about 238 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa,
Palawan’s Capital. El
Nido is named after the edible bests of swift lets (Collocalia fuciphaga)
found in the crevices of its limestone cliffs. These nests, “nido” in
Spanish, are the main ingredients for the gourmet nido soup.
The El Nido
Resorts are built on separate islands, assuring minimal impact on the
environment, as well as privacy for guests.
Miniloc Island is situated in a cove with a backdrop of sheer
limestone cliffs. Lagen
Island on the hand is set in a lush forest and provides a magnificent view
of the El Nido sunset.
The flight is
about one hour and thirty minutes from Manila. The plane lands directly at El
Nido airport, where guests are welcomed by resort staff, then transferred
to a motorized outrigger, for a scenic forty minute boat ride to the
resorts.
